The powder fertilizer packaging machine is an automated quantitative packaging device integrating mechanics, electronics, optics, and instrumentation. This equipment uses electronic weighing principles to weigh and package materials, and is equipped with intelligent control instruments and a PLC programmable controller. It features automatic quantitative control, automatic filling, automatic adjustment of measurement errors, out-of-tolerance alarms, automatic error correction, automatic zeroing, and anti-interference functions.
Equipment Structure
The control system of a powder fertilizer packaging machine mainly consists of the following layers:
(I) Feeding Execution Layer: Employs a screw feeding method, equipped with a coarse and fine double screw structure. The coarse screw is connected to the first motor for rapid feeding; the fine screw is connected to the second motor for precise metering. Through fast, medium, and slow feeding speeds, metering accuracy and packaging speed are significantly improved. Some models are equipped with anti-bridging technology, effectively preventing material agglomeration during screw feeding.
(II) Weighing Sensing Layer: Consists of independently suspended weighing sensors, standard connectors, a junction box, and a weighing hopper. The weighing sensors convert the material's weight signal into an electrical signal. Independent suspension installation ensures stable signal transmission. The weighing control system is designed according to IP54 (dustproof and waterproof) requirements.
(III) Control Decision Layer: Uses a PLC programmable controller as its core. The PLC is responsible for receiving signals from the weighing sensors, executing control programs, processing data, and outputting control commands. A human-machine interface or control panel is provided for parameter setting and operation monitoring. The weighing instrument displays weighing data in real time. (iv) Execution Feedback Layer: This layer includes actuators such as the bag clamping mechanism, gates, and conveying devices. Each actuator receives control commands from the PLC and completes the corresponding action. Proximity switches and other detection elements provide position signals to the PLC. This forms a closed-loop control circuit of "feeding-weighing-judgment-stop-filling-sealing-conveying".
Weighing and measurement principle
The weighing principle of the powdered fertilizer packaging machine is based on electronic weighing technology: When material enters the weighing hopper, the load cell senses the weight of the material. The sensor converts the weight signal into an analog electrical signal. The weighing instrument converts the analog signal into a digital signal and displays it in real time. The PLC controller reads the data from the weighing instrument. The PLC compares the current weight with the set target value. When the current weight is less than the target value, the PLC maintains the feeding state. When the current weight reaches the target value, the PLC issues a stop feeding command.
The independent suspended sensor signal transmission ensures stable weighing accuracy. The system has automatic tare, automatic error correction, automatic zeroing, and anti-interference functions.
Equipment operation method
(I) Formula Setting: Retrieve or input the required formula via the human-machine interface. Set the target weight and allowable error range for each material. The system can store more than 20 formula parameters.
(II) Automatic Operation: Start the system to enter automatic packaging mode. The system will automatically complete the entire process of feeding, weighing, filling, and sealing according to the set parameters. Weighing data and equipment operating status can be viewed in real time during operation.
(III) Operation Monitoring: Operators must closely monitor the system's operating status. The system will immediately alert when an out-of-tolerance alarm occurs. The fault self-diagnosis function helps to quickly locate the fault point.
(IV) Shutdown Operation: After completing the packaging task, shut down each piece of equipment in sequence. Maintain accurate equipment usage and maintenance records and complete shift handover procedures.
Equipment maintenance methods
(I) Control System Maintenance: Check the PLC controller's operating status monthly. Check the host computer software's operation. Regularly back up recipe parameters and production data. Clean dust from the control cabinet and check for loose or aged wiring terminals.
(II) Weighing System Maintenance: Calibrate the weighing sensor monthly using standard weights. Check the junction box for water ingress or moisture. Check the wiring cables for integrity.
(III) Actuator Maintenance: Regularly check the wear condition of the screw feeder. Check the bag clamping mechanism's operating status. Clean accumulated material from the vibrator.
Equipment troubleshooting
Control system malfunction: Check power supply. Check communication lines for integrity. Restart PLC system.
Weighing sensor malfunction: Clean sensor surface to remove adhering powder. Check sensor for horizontal installation. Tighten sensor terminals.
Feeding system malfunction: Check feed motor for damage. Check inverter parameters for correctness. Clear any blockages.
Poor sealing: Adjust heat sealing temperature to appropriate range. Check sealing mechanism for proper adjustment.
Application of equipment in production line
Powdered fertilizer packaging machines are used in the final product packaging stage of fertilizer production lines. The equipment is connected to the finished product silo via a screw conveyor. Packaged products are then transported to the palletizing area via a conveyor system. Complete packaging units can be seamlessly integrated with upstream equipment to form a complete automated fertilizer production line.
