Temperature control principle: The inlet air temperature for drying bio-organic fertilizer should be controlled at 60℃~80℃, far lower than the 120℃~160℃ of ordinary organic fertilizer. Within this temperature range, moisture can be effectively evaporated (reducing the moisture content from 30%~40% to 15%~20%), while the survival rate of functional bacteria can be maintained above 80%. The outlet air temperature should be maintained at 40℃~50℃ to avoid excessively high material outlet temperature affecting bacterial activity.
Drying Process Selection: A low-temperature, high-volume drying strategy is recommended—increasing ventilation and lowering hot air temperature to remove moisture through air convection rather than relying on high-temperature evaporation. For smaller-scale production, solar drying can be used, utilizing solar collectors to convert heat energy into drying energy, which is more environmentally friendly and better preserves nutrients and activity. For large-scale production, belt dryers or rotary dryers are recommended, with segmented temperature control—using relatively high temperature (70-80℃) for rapid dehydration in the early stage, and cold air cooling (below 40℃) in the later stage.
Key Control Points: Before drying, the material should be spread as thinly and evenly as possible to avoid uneven drying due to excessive accumulation. During the drying process, the discharge temperature should be monitored regularly to ensure it does not exceed 50℃. It is recommended to install an online temperature monitor at the dryer outlet, automatically reducing the hot air temperature or increasing the feeding speed when the discharge temperature exceeds the set value. After drying, the material should immediately enter the cooling process, rapidly cooling to room temperature before packaging to prevent residual heat from continuously killing functional bacteria. Through precise low-temperature drying control, biological activity can be maximized while ensuring the moisture content meets the requirements.
