【FAQ】What materials are suitable for a double axis mixer?
Applicable material types: The double axis mixer is suitable for mixing powdery materials, granular materials, viscous materials, and fibrous materials. In organic fertilizer production, it can handle materials with high fiber content such as fermented humus, livestock and poultry manure, and straw powder; in NPK blended fertilizer production, it is suitable for the uniform blending of granular raw materials such as urea, monoammonium phosphate, and potassium chloride. It is also compatible with the uniform dispersion of powdered additives (such as trace elements, slow-release agents, anti-caking agents, etc.).
Working principle and advantages: The double axis mixer uses two symmetrical spiral shafts that rotate synchronously. Spiral blades are mounted on the two shafts rotating in opposite directions. After the material enters the mixing tank, it is subjected to the dual mixing action of the two shafts, and is fully turned, scattered, and convected. Compared to single-shaft mixers, the double axis structure results in shorter mixing time, higher efficiency, and better uniformity. The entire mixing process is divided into three zones: atomization, mixing, and discharge. For materials requiring humidification, water can be sprayed evenly in the atomization zone.
Usage Precautions: Avoid handling materials with excessively high moisture content (>40%) or excessive viscosity to prevent clogging or damage to the equipment. For materials with excessively long fibers, coarse crushing pretreatment is recommended. Clean the mixing chamber of any residual material after each shift. The double axis mixer features a robust design, is resistant to wear, and has a long service life.
