To improve the ball formation rate of the rotary drum granulator, you can start from the following aspects:

1. Optimize the structure of the organic fertilizer equipment: Use engineering plastics or special rubber that are not easy to stick to the material as the lining layer to reduce material adhesion and improve the ball formation rate. Install a removable material blocking plate on the inner wall of the drum to increase the tumbling time and amplitude of the material, thereby improving the ball formation rate.

2. Control material characteristics: Reasonably match materials of different fineness. Although too high fineness can improve the surface finish of the particles, it may cause the particles to be too large or irregular. Reasonably match adhesive materials and dispersive materials. If the proportion of sticky raw materials is too high, it is easy to form balls, but too much will cause the particles to be too large; if the proportion of dispersive raw materials is too high, there will be more fine powder. Keeping the comprehensive moisture content of the material low is conducive to the addition of steam in granulation, increasing the temperature and viscosity of the material, thereby improving the ball formation rate.

3. Adjust process parameters: bury steam pipes in the material bed, provide heat and part of the water through steam, increase the temperature and viscosity of the material, reduce the drying load, and make the liquid phase more evenly distributed. Adjust the drum speed and the residence time of the material in the granulator according to the material characteristics to improve the ball formation rate.

4. Improve the process flow: First, produce the core particles with uniform particle size through other granulation equipment, and then add them to the drum granulator. Through the gradual addition of powder and granulation additives, the core particles continue to grow during the rolling process, and the ball formation rate is improved.

Through the above measures, the ball formation rate of the drum granulator can be effectively improved, and the production efficiency and product quality can be improved.
