How to Prevent Agglomeration in Horizontal Fertilizer Mixer Production?

2025-11-04

To prevent agglomeration in horizontal fertilizer mixer production, the following aspects can be addressed:

1. Mixing Blade Design: Design the shape of the mixing blades according to the material characteristics to ensure sufficient shearing and dispersion of the material, avoiding localized material accumulation and agglomeration.

2. Mixing Speed: Adjust the mixing speed according to the material properties and mixing requirements, keeping it within a suitable range. For example, when processing powders and dry granules, use a low speed (15-30 r/min) to reduce material scattering; when processing semi-wet or viscous materials, use a high speed (40-60 r/min) to disperse the material through strong shearing force.

3. Crushing and Screening: Before feeding the raw materials into the mixer, crush and screen any materials prone to agglomeration to remove existing agglomerated particles, preventing them from further accumulating and expanding during mixing.

4. Moisture Content Control: For highly hygroscopic materials, control the ambient humidity during the pretreatment stage, and perform drying treatment if necessary to reduce the possibility of material agglomeration due to moisture absorption. Materials in different states must be added in a reasonable order to avoid direct impact of liquid on powder, which could lead to localized caking.

5. Real-time observation and adjustment: During the mixing process in the organic fertilizer production line, the material state must be observed in real time. If localized accumulation or adhesion is observed, the mixing mode should be adjusted promptly. This can be done by periodically changing the mixing direction or speed to break up potential caking.

6. Regular maintenance: Regular maintenance of the equipment is essential. Check the wear of the impellers and the tightness of connections to ensure the mixing components are functioning properly and to prevent uneven mixing and caking due to equipment malfunction. For gaps and dead corners where material may remain, use specialized tools for cleaning and, if necessary, perform regular disinfection.
