Requirements for Materials in Biology organic Fertilizer Dryers

2026-06-01

Biology organic fertilizer dryers operate at low temperatures. To ensure drying efficiency, finished product quality, and stable fertilizer production machine, specific requirements are placed on the feed state, particle shape, and impurity content.

The feed moisture content must be controlled between 30% and 40%. Excessive moisture significantly increases the drying load, easily causing particle sticking, material blockage in the drum, and prolonged material residence time, indirectly affecting the activity of live bacteria. Insufficient moisture results in dry, brittle particles that easily break during turning, increasing powder residue.

Particle size should be uniform, ideally with a standard particle size of 2-4mm, avoiding significant size variations. The proportion of fine powder should not exceed 8%, as excessive powder will be lost with the hot air, wasting raw materials and increasing the burden on the dust removal system. Simultaneously, the particles must be firmly formed; loose, soft particles entering the drum are easily broken by the lifting plates, reducing the finished product qualification rate.

Strict control of impurities and large pieces is essential. Stones, hard metal pieces, long straw, and other debris should be screened out in advance. Hard impurities can wear down the drying cylinder and lifting plates, while long fibers can easily entangle components, obstructing material flow and causing localized material accumulation and uneven drying.

The material temperature and state must be stable. After granulation, the material should not be piled up for extended periods to prevent surface crusting and internal dampness, resulting in uneven moisture levels inside and out. The feed temperature should be kept as consistent as possible to avoid alternating hot and cold feeds, which can affect the hot air system's operation.

During production, continuous and uniform feeding must be ensured, avoiding interruptions or sudden surges in feed. Given the low-temperature drying characteristics, no additional high-viscosity additives should be added to prevent material from sticking to the cylinder wall and lifting plates. Strictly controlling these points will not only improve drying efficiency but also maximize the protection of beneficial bacteria and extend the equipment's lifespan.
