Analysis on the types and application of compound fertilizer production technology

2019-12-04
The types and applications of NPK fertilizer production line are as follows:
NPK fertilizer production line

(1) Mixed dry granulation: Originated from the United Kingdom, it is widely used in Europe, the United States, Australia, and Japan. India, China, and Thailand were also widely used in the 1960s and 1990s.

(2) Adding acid and nitrogen through dry material granulation: In the dry material granulation technology, spray acid is added, ammonium nitrate-ammonia solution, ammonia gas are added, and the neutralization reaction and granulation are performed simultaneously. It is widely used in the United States. With the successful supply of commercial phosphoric acid and the development of pipeline reactors, the mid-70s was a new achievement in compound fertilizer technology.

(3) Slurry granulation method: ammonium phosphate-based ammonium thiophosphate-based, nitrate-phosphate mixed acid-based decomposition of phosphate rock based nitrate phosphate fertilizer compound fertilizer, mainly using slurry granulation method to make compound fertilizer, slurry method is suitable Large-scale production of compound fertilizers in integrated chemical plants.

The fertilizer granulator machine of the compound fertilizer workshop includes: double-shaft horizontal granulator, spray granulator, and rotary barrel granulator, all of which turn the slurry into granules by returning material.
For urea-ammonium phosphate compound fertilizer, only using concentrated phosphoric acid-pipe reactor technology can achieve better operating conditions.

(4) Melt granulation: Production of nitrate phosphate fertilizer and ammonium nitrate phosphate compound fertilizer. After preparing high-concentration molten slurry, a granular product can be produced by spraying the melt.
Urea ammonium phosphate-based compound fertilizer can also be melt granulated, but it is only suitable for using monoammonium phosphate as raw material.

(5) Extrusion granulation: suitable for small batch production of NPK compound fertilizers. Because the appearance of the granules is poor, to obtain granules with good appearance, the fertilizer manufacturing process and equipment are complicated. Large-scale production of granular potassium fertilizer and granular ammonium phosphate is more suitable, because the effect of other methods to produce granular potassium fertilizer is worse than extrusion.

(6) Blending NPK: Under the influence of the United States, Ireland, Canada, and Brazil mainly adopt blending NPK technology, and the blending method also has some influence in South America, Europe, Japan, and Africa.

(7) Fluid compound fertilizer: There are three types of fluid compound fertilizer: clear type, suspension type, and mud type. They account for a considerable proportion of the total amount of fertilizer in the United States. The production cost of fluid fertilizer is low, and the fertilizer application efficiency is high, especially suitable for large-scale Fertilization on mechanized farms, but it needs to have corresponding conditions before it can be applied.
