Equipment Coordination in Fertilizer Production Process: System Configuration from Fermentation Turning to Precision Blending

 In the complete chain of industrial fertilizer production, the fermentation turning machine, horizontal mixer, and BB fertilizer blending production line correspond to three key nodes: raw material processing, intermediate mixing, and finished product formulation, respectively. The capacity matching and process integration among these three determine the overall operating efficiency and product quality stability of the production line.

The fermentation section is the starting point of the entire production line, where the double-screws turning machine plays a crucial role in providing sufficient oxygen for aerobic fermentation. This equipment adopts a structure design with two sets of parallel helical shafts rotating in opposite directions. These blades penetrate deep into the material pile, turning the bottom layer of material to the surface and pressing the surface layer back to the bottom through relative rotation, forming a "rolling up and down, weaving left and right" motion pattern. The improved double-shaft reverse rotation motion gives the double-screws turning machine the comprehensive functions of turning, mixing, and aerating. Its turning depth can reach 1.6 to 2 meters, and its span covers 6 to 12 meters, significantly improving the space utilization rate of the fermentation workshop. Under the powerful turning of the double spiral, the pile temperature is maintained within the ideal fermentation range of 55 to 70℃, shortening the fermentation cycle to 7 to 15 days. Compared with manual turning, the efficiency is increased by more than ten times.

 

After the material has been fully fermented and decomposed, it enters the mixing section, where the horizontal mixer becomes the main equipment. Its main body is a U-shaped or circular horizontal cylinder, with inner and outer double-layer spiral ribbons or paddle-type stirring rotors inside. After the material enters the cylinder, it circulates axially and radially under the rotation of the rotor—the inner spiral ribbon pushes the material from the center to both sides, and the outer spiral ribbon pushes the material from both sides back to the center, forming a large-scale convection circulation. The horizontal mixer has good adaptability to powdery, granular, and even high-viscosity materials, with high mixing uniformity and low residue. For organic materials with high fiber content and high viscosity, the organic fertilizer twin-shaft mixer offers a more intensive mixing solution—two parallel mixing shafts rotate synchronously in opposite directions, subjecting the material to shearing, compression, and convection from both directions. This equipment can also achieve uniform mixing at lower temperatures, avoiding over-mixing that could cause temperature rise and affect the activity of functional bacteria.

When the uniformly mixed material enters the final formulation stage, the BB fertilizer blending production line exhibits a completely different process logic. BB fertilizer production is essentially a purely physical process—granulated single-element fertilizers such as urea, diammonium phosphate, and potassium chloride are directly blended according to soil testing and formulation data, without any chemical reactions. The entire BB fertilizer blending production line consists of a raw material storage and conveying system, a dynamic batching and metering system, an NPK blender, and an automatic packaging system. The NPK blender uses a twin-shaft paddle or zero-gravity blending structure, achieving rapid and uniform mixing of materials under high-speed stirring by paddles at a specific angle. This equipment is specifically optimized to address the stratification and segregation issues of particles with different densities and sizes during the mixing process. The entire production line is centrally controlled by PLC, and the batching accuracy error can be controlled within ±0.2%.

From the deep fermentation and turning of the double-spiral compost turner, to the powerful homogenization of the horizontal mixer and the organic fertilizer twin-shaft agitator, to the precise physical blending of the BB fertilizer blending production line, and the low-temperature protection of functional bacteria activity by the bio-organic fertilizer dryer, this complete equipment matrix provides a full-process solution from fermentation to finished product for fertilizer production with different process routes.
