How to Make Organic Fertilizer from Oil palm empty fruit bunch (OPEFB)?
1. Cutting: Cut the empty oil palm fruit bunches into smaller pieces to increase surface area, facilitating the subsequent fermentation process in the organic fertilizer produciton line.
2. Adding Auxiliary Materials: Add auxiliary materials such as sludge, peat moss, or charcoal ash to the empty fruit bunch pieces to improve the compost's structure and nutrient composition.
3. Adding Microbial Agents: Add appropriate amounts of fiber fermentation agents, such as Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus cereus. These bacteria secrete enzymes that accelerate the decomposition of the empty oil palm fruit bunches.
4. Moisture Adjustment: Spray water to bring the moisture content of the material to 55%–70%, ensuring uniform mixing.
5. Composting: Pile the treated material into heaps for high-temperature composting. During fermentation, timely water spraying and turning are necessary to ensure aeration and humidity, promoting microbial activity.
6. Testing and Adjustment: After fermentation, test the nutrient content and carbon-nitrogen ratio of the organic fertilizer, making adjustments as needed.
7. Granulation and Packaging: Process the fermented organic fertilizer into finished products using an organic fertilizer granualtor and package them.
Through these methods, empty oil palm fruit bunches can be converted into high-quality organic fertilizer, achieving resource utilization of waste and supporting sustainable agricultural development.
